We had so much fun on the 4th, the kids wanted to see more waterfalls. We headed out the next day and found the best one of all - no crowds, no railings. We actually thought we were lost as the road turned to dirt and we realized we were in the middle of nowhere. But, the road stopped in a forest and there was a tiny sign, so we started hiking. At the end of the short trail was a gorgeous waterfall that you could walk all over - and we were the only ones there! It was awesome. I'm sure we'll be back many times.
That is sooo cool! It's like you guys found your own little secluded getaway. Rush is really cute...he did seem to enjoy himself. =)Isn't it so much fun sharing these experiences with your kids? I just love seeing the look of amazement and excitement on their faces when we get to do something new and exciting. =)Thanks for sharing! The pictures of the falls are beautiful!
And the best things are always FREE! They enjoyed it more than the too-expensive train ride later on! I'll share the location of the secret falls for anyone who wants to know - they are off SR11 near Westminster, kind of on the way to the Wilds.
