Rush loved going into the trees looking for the little apples.
Today we were able to go apple picking for the first time in a tiny town called Long Creek. It was beautiful outside and the kids loved it. I never realized they grew all types of apples next to each other in one grove--about 9 varieties. As usual, it went by too fast, but so much fun! Grandma and Grandpa Brownell were up to visit us in SC, so they went along.Now, what do I do with 6 bags of apples.....

Ooooh, such fun! I can think of a few things to do with apples. Applesauce, apple butter, caramel apples, apple fritters, etc... I've got to stop. My mouth is watering. =)
I have apple sauce planned--we've already had apple pie, apple crisp...and we're eatting apples for every snack. The kids should be healthy for about 7 months!
If the apples last till we come home next week, I'll share, but they say the fresh ones don't last as long.
